RALIANCE and GEH publish paper of recommendations for research and evaluation in sport and gender-based violence.
Early this year, researchers convened a Think Tank focused on the research of sport and gender-based violence prevention. This multidisciplinary group from across the US reviewed the current state of research in this area, identifying gaps and future opportunities for research, highlighting the use of sport to end sexual violence.
As a result, RALIANCE in partnership with UC San Diego Center on Gender equity and health (GEH) have produced a report from the work of this group. This paper outlines recommendations for next steps in research and evaluation in sport and sexual violence prevention. Going forward, RALIANCE and GEH hope that this report will be a benefit to stakeholders working in the sport, research and advocacy communities, and help to address gaps in research, programming and foster partnerships moving forward.
