Protecting Against Abuse Training for Coaches and Parents
National Alliance for Youth Sports
The National Alliance for Youth Sports is aware that child abuse in sports is an extremely important topic for coaches and parents of young athletes, regardless of the age or gender of the players. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthdays.
Because this is such an important subject, we have created optional protecting against abuse training courses for NAYS Coaches and NAYS Parents as a supplement to the information they received during their training.

National Center for Safety Initiatives
Protecting vulnerable populations requires more than just background screening . It takes constant diligence, an understanding of legal requirements, keeping up on the latest industry information and more. All of this can cost you and your organization a lot of time that could be better spent focusing your attention on the people you serve.
Working with NCSI takes away the burden of dealing with this on your own. Through our exclusive NCSI 360™ program, we fully manage every aspect of the risk management process for you from start to finish, beginning with the overall program design and continuing through to the compliance requirements.

Shut Out Trafficking Training Program
Institute for Sport and Social Justice
The Institute For Sport & Social Justice (Institute SSJ), formerly the National Consortium for Academics and Sport (NCAS), is now in the third year of a partnership with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (UNICEF USA), annually targeting 10 college and university campuses across the United States. Prominent student-athletes, coaches, athletic administrators and students will speak out and educate peers during a one-week program at each university. The goal is to raise awareness about human trafficking in the United States and to inspire students to take action while learning the value love and forgiveness can have in implementing change. Leaders of the initiative will share their takeaways from the program, and reflect on the power of love and forgiveness to make a difference. Shut Out Trafficking will educate college students on the brutality of human trafficking and the $150 billion dollar industry it has become, and empower students to take action against it. Trafficking is one of the most profitable criminal industries in the world second only to drug trafficking with profits growing by nearly 400 percent in the last five years alone.
