Congratulations to the 2025 RALIANCE Grantees!

Over the past decade, RALIANCE and the NFL have proudly worked together to support organizations and programs dedicated to preventing sexual violence. Every grant has been awarded to aid in research or direct services for sexual harassment, assault, and abuse treatment and prevention. This year’s six $50,000 grant recipients are all previous grantees as RALIANCE made the decision to open the grant application to previous grantees only for the 2025 cycle. This decision was made with the intent of ensuring that the programs we helped fund in years past maintain their momentum going forward.

RALIANCE Project Coordinator Julia Mallory has managed the grant program since 2023, and offered insight on this decision. “In 2023, RALIANCE surveyed our past grantees to gather information about the status of the programs/projects we funded. We also wanted to learn how RALIANCE could continue to be a partner. This survey compelled us to use our available resources to contribute to the ongoing vitality of our grantees’ efforts. For example, one of our current Round 8 grantees, Creative Justice, also received funding in Round 7. They will continue their work in conducting restorative healing circles with young people.”

She is optimistic about what the grantees will be able to accomplish throughout 2025. “I am excited to see all of our grantees’ work in various facets, fully manifest towards preventing sexual violence and supporting survivors,” said Mallory. “This year’s grantees fulfill a range of needs in their communities and RALIANCE is honored to be a trusted partner in their efforts.”

This year’s grantees include Catholic University, Collective Action for Safe Spaces, Creative Justice, FORGE, Inc., Ministerios Fuente De Vida, and Visioning BEAR Circle Intertribal Coalition, Inc. Below are what some of our grantees would like to share with the RALIANCE audience about receiving their grants.

Catholic University – Washington, DC.

“Rates of sexual violence among youth who have experienced trauma remain high and more research is needed to develop trauma-informed approaches that address this widespread issue. The Catholic University of America is pleased to have the opportunity to advance efforts to reduce the incidence of youth sexual violence through interventions for adolescents with trauma histories who have caused harm. Dr. Jamie Yoder of Colorado State University and I look forward to this research shedding light on the root causes of sexual violence among youth and helping make our communities safer.”- Melissa Grady, Professor, National Catholic School of Social Service

Creative Justice – Seattle, Washington

“Art has the power to foster expression, community and healing for survivors experiencing trauma. Creative Justice’s arts-based healing circles create a safe space for youth and young adults to engage with other survivors and share about their lived experiences. We are honored to join forces with RALIANCE in continuing this necessary healing and accountability work together.” – Mira Kraft, Communications Director of Creative Justice

FORGE, Inc – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

“Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. Unfortunately, trans and nonbinary people experience high rates of sexual violence and barriers to accessing support. FORGE looks forward to empowering victim service providers with practical tools to help survivors feel safe and seek support and healing.”  -Michael Munson, Executive Director, FORGE

Ministerios Fuente De Vida – Glendale, California

“Our Together for Change program seeks to support faith community leaders with resources to increase awareness about the dynamics and risks of sexual abuse and build capacity to integrate sexual violence prevention into our programming, curriculum, and organization. We thank RALIANCE for supporting Ministerios Fuente De Vida and helping us make a positive impact in our faith community.” – Ben Ortega, Lead Pastor at Ministerios Fuente De Vida

Visioning B.E.A.R. Circle Intertribal Coalition – Greenfield, Massachusetts

“This RALIANCE grant will help expand training programs and economic opportunities for people in reentry from jail and/or recovery programs, giving them the tools and support they need to thrive. The Visioning BEAR Circle Intertribal Coalition looks forward to working with Stone Soup Cafe, and Compost Cooperative to continue building healthy, safe neighborhoods for healthy, safe communities that are free of violence. We thank RALIANCE for its partnership and support of this work.” – Strong Oak Lefebvre, Executive Director of Visioning B.E.A.R. Circle Intertribal Coalition

We couldn’t be prouder to play a part in the success of these programs. Please be sure to review our press release about this year’s grantees, and join us in giving a round of applause for all the amazing work they have done and will continue to do in 2025!
